The Professional Connection presents Joel Stiner, Director of the United States Small Business Administration’s Commercial Loan Center:

Joel Stiner is the Director of one of the United States Government’s largest financial operations centers outside of Washington, DC. At the Small Business Administration, Joel oversees a staff of 70 legal, finance and support professionals responsible for a portfolio of 195,000 loans valued at over $29 billion. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas as well as a Masters degree in Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University.
In his spare time, Joel serves as lead faculty for Law and Ethics at the University of Phoenix School of Business. In that capacity he teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in employment and business law as well as enterprise risk management.
Joel often speaks around the country to groups of lenders involved in the SBA loan program. At this Professional Connection event, Joel will share some of his ideas relating to customer service, the importance of staying engaged in the community as well as strategies he has found useful for success in public and non-profit organizations.
